Evan Matthew
Evan says the darnedest things, especially when he first wakes up. The night we slept at the hotel he woke up that morning yelling, "I can't smell, I can't smell!" His nose was all stuffed up and so he was freaking out. Matthew and I thought it was hilarious. Yesterday he fell asleep in the car and I woke him up so he could walk up the stairs. He was still a little groggy and kept saying his eyes were crooked. It's just funny to hear how he describes things to me and the things he likes to remember and talk about. I wish I would write them down more often because he's always cracking me up. He's just grown-up so much lately. He plays so well with Dallin and tries so hard to take good care of him, most of the time. He's becoming such a help around the house. He even vacuumed the living room for me last night.
He's taught himself how to write letters and is starting to make some words. I'm amazed at how quickly he is learning. He will definitely be ready for school next year. It's so exciting watching him change from a wild 2-yr old to a crazy 3 yr-old and now to a big 4 yr-old. I will be sad to let my little buddy go to school, but he loves to play and learn and be around people. We're starting a joy school here in September and he is so excited. My tiny baby is all-grown up. It's crazy to sit and think about him being the big brother. The one to do everything first and to set the example for his siblings. I think he will be great. We were visiting Carlee's new baby, Crew and Evan just sat and stared at him for quite a while. When we were driving home he kept talking about how much he wanted another little baby and how cute they are. He's going to be a great big brother. He has a very big, sensitive heart like his daddy. I love ya Evan!

It's hard to believe how big he has gotten! I remember when he was Arwen's little puppy, crawling around, following her! What a cutie!
Can't believe our little guys are 4 year olds now! Good job Evan on making words! Good luck with Joy School! Miss you guys!

I love that picture of Evan. Could he be any more proud of his creation? It's perfect!
You have to start writing it all down! I have a large piece of paper taped to my kitchen wall. It's entitled: Pyper FUnnies. Its easy to write stuff down on. I started with a little notebook in my junk drawer but then it kept getting buried. You will LOVE to read back at all the funnies your kids have said!
