Bishop Family Reunion
I'm still in the process of getting caught up on my journaling. We spent a week in Boise at our first bi-annual Brant Bishop Family Reunion. What a great time it was. We spent a day out on the water with the boat and wave runners. Those are some fun toys. Evan enjoyed riding in the tube and loved to drive the wave runners and go super fast like a race car. Dallin wasn't a huge fan, but was very content trying to constantly dive into the water from the dock. We had a blast and really hated for the day to end. We had a yummy dinner at Brett's house and Evan thoroughly enjoyed all of the toys his girlie cousins had. The next day was family picture day. It wasn't the easiest task and we didn't really end up with that one perfect photo, but what can you expect with 16 adults and 16 kids. We'll see if Matthew can do some photo manipulation to fix some of them. We just spent the rest of the day relaxing in Barrett's sweet back yard. He made this crazy tire swing that didn't stop swinging all day. The evening finished off with a talent show. Oh . . . so many fond memories of family reunion talent shows. Sunday we were all at church to listen to my parents speak. It will be the last time we're all together for the next 2 years since they're leaving in a couple weeks for Africa. Everybody dispersed on Sunday and we stayed around for a couple more days because I wasn't ready to leave them yet. The boys got in some great Grandpa & Grandma time. They are such wonderful grandparents. We are really going to miss them. I couldn't stay forever though, so we packed up the car and headed home. We decided to take a quick side trip to Bend, OR because it's on my list of possible future residences and yet I'd never actually been there. So we toured the area and stayed the night in a hotel. It was a huge deal because that is the first time we have ever paid to stay in a hotel as a family. Pretty impressive since we've been married for almost 5 years. We had a very beautiful drive home and are still trying to get our messy house in sorts. Running around for the last couple of weeks has really turned it upside down. Every time I start trying to clean it up one of my three boys makes some gigantic mess. Oh well, the lot of a loving wife and mother. Happy 4th of July!

16 adults and 16 children!!! Your parents must be so proud!!!!!
Bethany, you are nuts! Your apartment is not messy. You really need to come hang out over here to make yourself feel a little better. Hopefully our place will be decent for Saturday. With it getting into the 100's today, I wasn't very productive.
I love good old family reunions. We have one coming up in a couple of weeks in Oregon! Yipee! Bend is a pretty cool place. Did you like it? I grew up in Eugene, if you know where that is.
