However, he picked right back up where he left through out the night. So after a call to the advice nurse, who thought I was an idiot and completely neglecting my child instructed us to take him to the ER. Which I wasn't sure was necessary since he was having a wet diaper every 6 hours and still had little tears when he tried to cry. However, we took him in anyway and they hooked him up and pumped in the fluids. It was nice to see him looking a little better after all was said and done. He's practically a string bean now. After that eventful morning I left Dallin with his dad, who had to study, and took Evan out to Brentwood to see the Easter chicks G&G Nielsen had bought.
They were so cute. They were dyed red, green, orange, blue and purple. Evan picked out a blue one and named it Bambi. Of course I forgot my camera so I used Grandma's and will have to post the pictures later. Evan had a blast playing with Whitney, Josh and Austin. The adults just chatted and played Spades. We had a delicious lamb dinner topped off with these super cute baby chick cakes. Evan and Dallin went on a fun easter egg hunt too. All in all it was a good Easter, considering. It was nice to take sometime and ponder about the special day. I hate missing church on Easter Sunday. I really missed that spiritual lift. Everyone is doing better now. Hopefully we're done for a while. It sure is hard to watch your kids suffer. I can only imagine how our Heavenly Father felt watching his son suffer in the Garden of Gethsamane.

It's funny that you played with the chicks, then cooked them up as little cakes! :) Just kidding! For the past 2 years, Easter has also been our Fast Sunday. I HATE IT! I totally feel jipped! Not much talk about Easter. I miss the feelings, and musical numbers...everything...sigh...maybe next year! Oh, sorry you had sick kids...I feel your pain...really, I do!
I actually got to go to church, but I spent the whole time in tears! Other than that I worked till 11 pm. Fun stuff huh? Love you!
Poor little babies!!! Dallin has the sweetest look on that string bean face, but you can tell he's not himself. And Evan...I could just tickle that boy all day long for a smile like that!!
Were they real baby chicks? I had a roommate at school whose family bought real baby chicks every Easter...until she went to bed with hers and smothered it! What do you do with the chicks when Easter is done? Anyways...poor babies! And poor you. It's so hard to be a mom sometimes, but you do a great job of it! I just love your two boys to pieces...they are so darn cute!
So sorry you had a bit of crazy week with a sick kid. We certainly missed you on Sunday and will be glad to see you back!
