Before I forget

Evan is at such a fun stage right now. I love watching the gears in his little head turn as he figures things out and tries to make sense of everything in this mad world. He constantly amazes me at some of the things he says so matter of factly. He truly is a sponge just soaking it all up. He can tell you a lot about nature. How birds build nests in trees and lay eggs. How flowers need the sun for food to grow big and beautiful. I've noticed as of late that he has finally discovered the word "Why" and I hear it constantly, but I love that he's just trying to understand. Well, a couple of days ago I was feeling real sick with a head cold so I asked him if he would please be very nice to me because I wasn't feeling good. Of course he asked why and so I told him I had a cold in my head. He looked at me and asked with great concern in his voice, "You have ice in your head?" How cute is that!

I love that! It makes us adults realize all of the funny sayings we have to describe things. I hope that ice in your head melted and that you're feeling better!
