Reading and Writing and Arithmatic

I can hardly believe that my tiny 2 lb. baby is a Kindergartener. It's such a huge milestone for him. They kept telling us in the beginning that it may take him a while to catch up he may always be a little bit slower, babies of this gestation have sight issues and hearing issues and often have learning disabilities. You can't look at my Evan and not think about how he truly was a miracle baby. You would never in a million years know that my little boy came into this world with a 50% chance of survival and even if he did survive would probably have complications his whole life. That little baby is now going to school and as sharp as a tack. It's been kind of hard letting him grow up, but I am so proud of him and his strong little spirit. He is doing great at school and loves every minute. He even does pretty good about remembering everything they did so he can tell me all about it. It's so crazy having a school kid but Evan loves it and I'm enjoying having some one-on-one time with Dallin. In fact, we're going to start a Mom-n-tot swim class in a couple of weeks that he is really excited about. I sure do love my silly little boys!

Here he is with his very first homework assignment. If you can't tell he created himself with a whole lot of style. It was 100% his work and I love it!

Of course Dallin could not be left out so he and his dad made a minature Dallin. Looks just like him!

Seriously- blessed, blessed. I know, it's hard to watch them get older, I'm dying thinking that's where Sol will be next fall...

Quite a likeness, those art projects. I'm so glad Evan loves school! Have fun swimming with Dallin. (What a great idea!)

Alyse started Kindergarten this year too. She is so much happier being a big girl and going to school, riding the bus even!! I'm so glad you guys are here in Oregon! We need to get together with the Javadi's too and play sometime!

Miss you all. Drop a line when you get the chance.

Looks like fun! Your so right, He has not had any of the typical premie side effects, I always forget that he was born early he is so normal! AWSOME, and it sounds like you did okay in letting him go!

I almost got teary eyed hearing about evan's early days. He is so big now. Was it hard sending him to school?

Woo Hoo! Can't believe our little July babies are kindergarteners! He's doing better at remembering what to tell mommy than McKay is.
