I have a funny story about my Evan. He's a big school kid these days and for a fund raiser this year they were doing a Fun-Run. The kids were to get people to sponser them x amount of money per lap and then they had 2 hours to run as many laps as they could. Well, Evan is in the afternoon class and so they missed the big event, but the teacher took them out for a while and let them do their own run. Evan made sure to wear comfortable clothes and his running shoes. It was so cute to see how excited and serious he was about it. When I picked him after class he informed me he won the race. He is a very competative kid so I just said it wasn't a race and I'm sure he did great. He had a little piece of paper saying he ran 18 laps. Way to go Evan! The next day as I was waiting for Evan to come out of class I had a couple of parents say they heard Evan had won the running contest. So I guess the kid was telling the truth. Come to find out he ran 2 more laps than anyone in his class and the kids thought it was a pretty big deal. I felt bad for trying to down play it. All his classmates were impressive with his mad running skills. As they get off the bus while we're waiting for the door to open they all yell HI to Evan. Not that I'm so proud of him for being popular or something, don't get me wrong. It's just fun to see the little guy in this new environment being his own little person. I sure think he's special and it's fun to see others think the same thing. That's my Boy!
Isn't he quite the man!

I hope the shoes in the picture aren't the comfortable ones he picked out for the big race. 18 laps, that's huge! We may have a middle distance star on our hands here.
So cute!
What do you expect? He was born 3 months early ... lol. It's not very hard to imagine you producing an athletic little man. I love it!
wait wait, I just noticed the shoes those boys are wearing, silly silly!
That's awesome! Taking after his mom! Nice :) I love hearing all the school stories, it's fun to see how they interact with others and stuff they do when you're not around. Makes you proud...
