In Honor of a Great Man!

President Gordon B. Hinckley, the prophet of our church, passed away Sunday evening. I can't say that I'm surprised or that I feel anything but relief for him. He is finally back with his sweet wife Marjorie. I can only imagine the tears of joy that were shed and the tight embraces when they were face to face again. He has served well and left his mark on the world within the church and without. He was a great man, a wonderful example of our Savior and valiant leader. His presence will be missed, but I'm happy for him.

I feel the same way. It is hard to say I am sad- we had him as prophet here for so many years and he lived a long life. He has been saying he is ready to go & in the twilight of his years for the last year now. He was (and is) a wonderful prophet! I loved his sense of humor the most.

Well, I am sad for me! I will sorely miss his wonderful sense of humor that was to unique to him. I can't recall ever missing a prophet more than I do President Hinckley. Of course I'm very happy for him.
