BYU Buddy

It has been about a month since I've done any blogging, and now I have some serious catching up to do. We have been so busy playing and having fun. Shanda, a college roommate, flew us out to her house in Orem and really showed us a good time. Here is her son Solomon and her little girl Ivory playing with Evan in their playhouse.

We drove to Park City and went down the Alpine Slide and the Coaster. I think we may have had a dud of a sled for the Alpine slide, but it was still fun. The coaster was wild. You control how fast you go and you can go as fast as you want. I started out a little slow because I thought Evan might get scared but he was loving it and so we went as fast as we could. I'll admit I was a bit nervous at times, but if Evan wasn't scared then I clearly shouldn't be. It was super fun. The boys got some tickets and rode the little carnival rides too. Dallin even hopped on the carousel. Then we stopped off and ate some delicious pizza pies. We had a great time!

Another day we went to a place called Kangaroo Zoo. It was a building with a bunch of Jumpy houses and slides. Evan didn't stop running the whole time. I could hardly keep track of him. It really was a good deal. Dallin wasn't too crazy about jumping around, but he did like running in between all the big and colorful balloons. It really wore them out and they went right to bed.

Shanda had a big and beautiful home and we spent a lot of time just sitting around, relaxing and catching up on the last 5 years. They had a great game room that kept the boys busy so we could chat. The boys especially loved their ball pit. Thank you Solomon for sharing all of your toys. We had such a fun week with them. Evan said he missed Daddy but he wanted to stay there forever. I had a lot of fun reminiscing with Shanda. We even watched a video that we had made our Sophomore year at BYU. We were wearing leopard print, with crimped hair and singing to Monster Ballads. It was a great walk down memory lane. Thanks so much for a super time you guys.

Yea! You're alive!!! How fun! That ball pit looks so fun...but the thought of cleaning up millions of balls everyday scares me! I'm glad you guys are having such a great time!

Dallin and Evan look like pieces of candy in a big candy dish to me. In all your traveling you must find time to come to Brentwood! Whitney tells me the big rooster has it in for her - so we'll be sure and keep him locked up while Evan and Dallin gather some pretty brown eggs.
